Preschool and Mother's Day Out
Ministry Philosophy
Christ the King Preschool was established in 1984 and continues today as a vital outreach ministry of the congregation. The Preschool Ministries Committee, Director, and teachers work as the front line team to offer a premium-quality, Christ-centered and family-focused care ministry for the children of our community. Our congregation is offered opportunities to serve, with Preschool parents, through a variety of community service activities and mission projects.
Christ the King Lutheran Church offers area families a Christ-centered, family-focused Mother's Day Out and preschool ministry. We strive daily to provide premium quality care, consisting of love, enrichment, and attention for each child, and their families.
Children benefit from a commitment to very low staff to child ratios and safe, visually stimulating classrooms. Sharing Christ's love is central to the curriculum and attending Chapel with the Pastor is a weekly highlight.

What is Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a response to Jesus' command "to love one another as I have loved you." Stephen Ministry is a systematic program of lay Christian care giving. Stephen Ministry is a special ministry in which one Christian reaches out to another in time of need. Stephen Ministry is comprised of ongoing helping relationships between caregivers and care receivers, with the characteristics of scheduled regularity, dependability and confidentiality.
What is a Stephen Minister
Stephen Ministers are NOT professional psychologists, counselors, social workers, or experts in law, medicine, or church doctrine. Stephen Ministers are lay men and lay women from our congregation who have received special intensive training in helping skills. Stephen Ministers are dedicated Christians, commissioned by our Church to provide confidential, in-depth caring. They listen, care, pray, support, and encourage.
If you would like more information about our Stephen Ministry program, please contact Suzanne Brown at 981-0064.
